Q. What motivated you to start your career as a hairstylist and barber?
Both Lucas and Clinton both have a creative and artistic past. Lucas being in art school and Clinton a career musician, they both wanted a career they could thrive in as well as have a social atmosphere. Being a hairstylist was the natural choice.
Q. Is there a philosophy or message that you value in your work or creative process?
“A dedication to discipline”. Lucas and Clinton holds onto the sentiment that “discipline will take you farther than motivation ever will.” And this drives them to push themselves to go deeper into the skill of hair cutting.
Q. Please tell us about the trends in the world that you’re currently paying attention to, and what do you think the future of “creative” looks like?
Instead of a “look” or end result in trends, we believe there will be a return back to precision but in a very practical sense. We believe hairstylist are getting more and more uncomfortable with cutting hair generally cause by “tips and tricks” instead of a solid understanding of the elements of hair cutting. This understanding will allow each stylist to have their own power of creativity! Making creative end results achievable!
