The Front Lines of an Educational Revolution Changing People and Changing Salons
Mr. Kubo, president of BAGZY, speaks of the importance of education that supports staff members’ ambition and independence, while sparking motivation and providing a real sense of growth. BAGZY’s unique and ground-breaking system that enables “early stage debuts” optimizes haircutting education using tools.
The “Cutting Education and Tools” Relationship Indispensable to BAGZY’s Business
Mr. Kubo: “It is surprisingly difficult to adjust hair texture with the around 25% thinning scissors that many hairstylists use. If the stylist is inexperienced, the ends of the hair will be thinner, but the roots will stay thick, and when the hair grows it often loses its style. To that end, I thought up a system of using three types of thinning scissors, 50%, 9%, and 3%, to try to create hairstyles that last.
By using each of these thinning scissors in the right ways, we can work through the issues of certain haircuts that often trip up staff. We created an educational tool that gives motivation to our staff.”
Efficient techniques using tools, and a unique educational style that brings out the individuality of each staff member, are the foundations of BAGZY.
