The sharpenable eyebrow scissors throughout your life
elfin eyebrow scissors, jointly developed with MANAMI,a makeup artist and a popular lecturer of makeup courses as well as stage makeup. Christophe Gaillet (France) and Angelique Polsinelli (U.S.A.) who succeed in fashion shows and fashion magazines in the world uses elfin too. Each pair was carefully produced by a skilled craftsman, down to every detail, from the materials, to the blade setting, to the shape of the tip. These scissors cut precisely, “one strand, one millimeter.” The highest quality eyebrow scissors never before that can be sharpened and can be used for a lifetime.
MANAMI started modeling at age 15, and primarily appeared as a show model overseas. After returning to Japan, she began doing makeup for foreign performers visiting Japan, and has also supervised the direction of makeup for the stage and company still photography in Japan. Using her experiences living overseas and working as a collection model, she works to “create branding for everything appearance-related” for the posture and fashion of company managers, specialists, and others.
- CMC ALLOY (EXTRAMARISE)
EXTRAMARISE® is a proprietary heat treatment ideally suited for haircutting scissors that was developed by MIZUTANI based on long years of accumulated data and experience. The same steel material can have totally different performance depending on the heat treatment used. Therefore, to maximize the special qualities of the rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, etc.) we’ve added to our products to the greatest extent possible, and achieve the ideal metal for scissors, (*hardening, tempering, sub-zero processing) and other complete temperature management procedures are essential. To bring out the distinct characteristics of materials, and manufacture a blade with the ultimate strength required for haircutting scissors, we at MIZUTANI have implemented our own proprietary heat treatment using the ideal temperature for scissors: EXTRAMARISE® processing.
